Latest Version of Skype Supports Group Video Chat

Ainsley Jones

Skype has announced the latest version of its VoIP service. One of the major features of the latest iteration is support for group video calling. The feature allows for up to five people to chat at a time, NewTeeVee reports.

Group video chat, which is still in beta, is only available through Microsoft Windows. A Mac version is expected to be available later this year. Another caveat is that the group video calling is set to become a premium feature and won't be free in the long term, says Lifehacker. The price has yet to be determined.
