Jaunty Jackalope Release Candidate Unveiled

The Ubuntu development at Canonical has unleashed the release candidate of Jaunty Jackalope, the codename for Ubuntu 9.04. According to developers, the RC is suitable to be tested by any user and sports faster boot times, ext4 file support and an improved notification system, reports OpensourceProPortal.

 

Jaunty Jackalope also includes the Gnome 2.26 desktop environment, which should see improvements to the default mail client. Ubuntu 9.04 is scheduled for final release on April 23, reports PC Pro.
