Intel unveiled a trio of new Atom processors and its new low-power NM10 Express chipset. The new processors and chipset combine to make up Intel's Pine Trail platform, notes ChannelWeb.
According to Intel, the new low-power processors not only reduce power consumption, but enable hardware vendors to create lower-cost, more efficient netbooks and entry-level desktops. Intel's D510 and D410 processors are designed for entry-level desktops and its N450 are tailored for netbooks, according to DailyTech. Pricing for the Pine Trail products, which will be available for sale January 4, has not yet been made available.
