Mozilla's Firefox 3 Release Candidate is out, with bloggers comparing its merit against Internet Explorer 8, Safari 3.1 and Opera 9.5.


It's easier to use, faster and more secure, writes eFluxMedia, with improved memory management as well.


Many bloggers, including Todd Bishop at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, point to the Smart Location Bar, known informally as the Awesome Bar. It allows users to quickly return Web pages without bookmarking them, a feature Opera 9.5 beta 2 will do better, according to iTWire blogger Alex Zaharov-Ruett.
