Developers Warming to Google Wave

Ainsley Jones

Google Wave made its debut back in May. Currently, Google's e-mail/IM/wiki hybrid is available to about 6,000 developers. The company is planning to send out 20,000 invites over the next month and releasing it to 100,000 users by Sept. 30, reports TechCrunch.

Developers have already taken a liking to Google Wave and a number of widgets are emerging on developer forums. Developer Ben Rometsch says flexibility is the strength of Google Wave's services. Rometsch provides a description of Wave's features in this Fast Company piece.
