Dell Unveils Custom Build of Chrome OS for Mini 10V

Posted by Ainsley Jones Nov 30, 2009 8:56:28 AM

Dell has made a customized version of Google's Chrome operating system for its Mini 10V netbooks. The company warns that its version of Google's Chrome OS is pre-beta and very unstable, reports The Register.

Interested developers will need 8GB of data space on a USB flash drive and access to a Mini 10V, says The Tech Herald. Despite its experimental nature, Dell's version of the OS boots in 10 to 12 seconds. Of course, its lack of stability hurts its Wi-Fi reliability.
