AutoCAD Back on Mac

Ainsley Jones

After 18 years of being exclusive to Windows PCs, AutoCAD is again available for the Mac platform. Autodesk has released AutoCAD for Mac. Prices for the software start at $3,975. A 30-day free trial is available and Autodesk will offer free licenses to students and educators.

According to Boy Genius Report, the transition from the Windows to the Mac variant is almost seamless. AutoCAD .dwg files from Windows are fully supported on the Mac. In addition, extensive APIs are available for workflow customization and for the integration of custom applications and other resources, says Macworld.
