AT&T 3G MicroCell Appliance Coming Soon

Ainsley Jones

AT&T will reportedly launch its new 3G MicroCell appliance in select markets next week. Up to 10 devices can be authorized for use on the femtocell, reports SlashGear. The telco is expected to charge $19.99 per month for unlimited use. The price is trimmed to $9.99 if a user has a landline or broadband through AT&T, and the price is free if they have both.

The 3G appliance is compatible only with 3G-capable phones sold by AT&T. AppleInsider speculates that iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S users will be able to save money by cutting their existing plan minutes and placing more calls from home in combination with the 3G MicroCell device.
