Los Angeles Goes with Google

With the pros and cons being hotly debated, it's official: Los Angeles has chosen to go with Google Apps as the replacement for the city government's e-mail and Internet services, reports seattlepi.com..


Over the next year, the $7.25 million contract will move all 30,000 city employees to Google's cloud. According to the Los Angeles Times, city expects complete implementation of the Google system by June.
