Lockheed Martin Opens Cyber Security Center in Maryland

According to this press release, Lockheed Martin has formed a new cyber security technology alliance with leading technology providers. The new research, development and collaboration center based in Gaithersburg, Md., is called the NexGen Cyber Innovation and Technology Center. Some of the participating companies include Cisco, Dell, HP, Intel, EMC and its RSA security division, Juniper Networks, McAfee and Microsoft.

Not only will the companies collaborate on technology to improve "early threat detection, protection and other counter measures" to cyber threats, but also run test scenarios, experiments and pilot programs, reports FederalNewsRadio.
