GSA Chooses Google, Unisys for Hosted E-mail

According to Computerworld, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has chosen Google, Unisys and others to implement a hosted e-mail service.

The five-year, $6.7 million contract was awarded to Unisys, which has teamed up with Google, Tempus Nova and Acumen Solutions. The GSA says the companies will provide a number of services including e-mail and collaboration tools "to facilitate a more mobile work force."

No doubt, Microsoft, which has been making a move into government, was disappointed with the decision. The tech giant has won a number of high-profile deals in New York City and California.
