DoD to Launch New Home Page

Kara Reeder

On August 15, the Department of Defense will launch a new homepage. According to FederalComputerWeek, the new site will be a complete overhaul of the existing site using Web 2.0 technologies.

The new modes for user participation will allow users to post questions for high-ranking military officers or the defense secretary and give feedback about DOD services. The hope is that the new features will attract the coveted demographic of persons ages 18 to 24 years.
