Ann Arbor Named Nation's No. 5 Digital City

Posted by Kara Reeder Nov 11, 2009 10:30:34 AM

According to WWJ Newsradio, the City of Ann Arbor has been recognized as the No. 5 Best Digital City in the country in its population category (75,000 to 124,999) by e.Republic’s Center for Digital Government and Digital Communities magazine.

The city's Web site, www.a2gov.org, features a number of online resources that improve service efficiencies and access to information including:

  • Citizen Request System -- an online resource for submitting non-emergency service requests to the city.
  • GovDelivery E-mail Notifications -- a service that lets visitors subscribe to more than 40 pages within the city’s Web site.
  • eTRAKiT -- an online permitting and development review and inspection Web site that allows around-the-clock access to inspection results.
