Sprint to Close Call Centers

Kara Reeder

In an effort to cut costs, Sprint may close up to 20 call centers next year, according to InformationWeek. The company will direct more people to online help sites.

Sprint, which has been ranked as the worst in customer satisfaction for two years running, has been hemorrhaging customers this year, losing almost 3 million contract subscribers. Bloomberg says the company is taking a hit from investors, too, with shares dropping 81 percent this year.

According to Reuters, Sprint CFO Bob Brust hopes to turn the company around next year by focusing on ramping up advertising and improving customer service.
