A Win for eBay in UK

Kara Reeder

According to Computerworld, UK High Court has sided with eBay, ruling that the auction site cannot be held legally accountable for the sale of fake L'Oreal goods.

"This is an important judgment because it ensures that consumers can continue to buy genuine products at competitive prices on eBay."

However, the court did say eBay could do more to prevent the sale of counterfeit goods and offered up 10 steps eBay could take to better police its site.
