Yahoo Finally Updates Calendar App

Kara Reeder

Yahoo is making use of last year's Zimbra acquisition to update its calendar application, which was first created a decade ago.

eWEEK reports that Yahoo Calendar can now be synchronized with calendar utilities from Google, Microsoft, AOL, Mozilla and Apple. Yahoo Calendar boasts several new features, including instant messaging, drag-and-drop appointments, color-coding and zoom.

Beta versions are being rolled out in the U.S., the UK, Brazil, India and Taiwan, with global availability expected to come later this year, according to PC Magazine.
