IBM unveiled a multi-tiered mashup portfolio aimed at non-technical, line-of-business users yesterday. The portfolio consists of the IBM Mashup Center and WebSphere sMash. The two mashup packages will help business users create customized Web applications, reports eWeek.
Big Blue's release falls in line with the increased pressure companies are under to allow business users to interact with information on demand. While there are risks involved with Enterprise 2.0, a little governance can go a long way toward success with mashups.
