Susan Hall

The three bidders looking to buy Circuit City apparently took a pass. The company has asked court approval toliquidate its remaining 567 stores, reports The Associated Press in a Los Angeles Times story.

The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November. It has 30,000 employees.

Pending court approval, the liquidation sale would begin Saturday and run until March 31, according to CNNMoney.com.
