SOA Implementers Needed: Survey Seeks Info on Changes to Business Function

Posted by Loraine Lawson Aug 26, 2008 2:02:53 PM

If you've got a few minutes, why not help out a group of MBS (master of business systems) students? I was recently contacted by an MBS group at the University College Cork in Ireland about their online survey about SOA. The group wants to know how SOA is affecting IT capabilities and business functions. Since this is something we'd all like to know more about, I thought I'd share the links with you.

The survey is in two very short parts, and asks multiple-choice questions, such as:

  • What was your primary reason for implementing SOA?
  • Who should be the project leader (champion) of the SOA implementation process?
  • How has your company benefitted from implementing SOA?

It also delves into the problems you might have encountered and how SOA has affected or changed the business. It should take no longer than five to 10 minutes, and you can take it even if you are just in the planning stages of SOA. You'll need to take part one and part two.
