New Book Aims to Help New Independent Computer Consultants Succeed

Patrick Avery

One of the types of content we are adding to the Knowledge Network is book excerpts.

Our first excerpt is from Mitch Paioff's "Getting Started as an Independent Computer Consultant." Paioff shows technology professionals how to start, promote and manage a successful computer consulting business. He said that he wrote this book after seeing hundreds of tech workers lose their jobs due to a downturn in the economy.

The excerpt included in the Knowledge Network is the book's fourth chapter, "How to Market Yourself Effectively," which encourages upcoming consultants to have a "Unique Selling Proposition," prospect for leads, advertise and sell yourself well.
