Cut Costs with New E-Billing Calculator

Patrick Avery

Even though the economic downturn has flattened slightly, there is still reason to continue saving in the workplace. IT Business Edge contributor Michael Stevens has uploaded to the Knowledge Network a Green IT e-Billing Calculator, which helps businesses calculate potential savings by going electronic with the billing process. The calculator guides users through calculating labor, software, hardware and other related costs. After the appropriate data is entered, the calculator will provide monthly savings, amortized costs and net savings.

And don't forget about the other cost-containment tools in the Knowledge Network.

Green IT Paper Reduction Calculator - This calculator lets you estimate the potential savings achievable through five tactics: two-sided (duplex) printing, elimination of reports that are not being used, switching from paper forms to e-forms, switching from conventional faxes to e-faxes, and reducing the weight of paper used for various documents.

TCO Cost Savings Comparison - This spreadsheet is built to be simple and flexible, and since every business case is unique, it is meant to be a solid basis for any analysis, not a complete solution for every possible scenario. But it does the job in estimating basic business savings.
