Ask IT Experts Your Questions About IT Careers, Business Value

Patrick Avery

Two IT experts have agreed to answer questions about IT careers and the business value of IT. Mike Harris, owner and president of David Consulting Group and one of three authors of a new book titled "The Business Value of IT: Managing Risks, Optimizing Performance and Measuring Results," is monitoring this thread. In his book, he shares real-world experiences to explain how you can demonstrate IT's value, and potentially find extra value you didn't know your IT organization creates. He also shows how to apply risk management to process improvement and avoid unintended consequences of process-improvement programs.

"Mitch Paioff, author of "Getting Started as an Independent Computer Consultant," has agreed to monitor this thread and answer questions about anything related to information technology jobs, consulting and other career and work-related questions. Check out his discussion thread here.
