Compliance Outlook: SIEM and Database Security Are Top Priorities

You may have a vague notion of the need to put document security controls in place, but where to start? Info-Tech Research Group's Document Security Needs Assessment Tool gives you a solid starting point from which you can determine organizational requirements.

The assessment tool presents a series of 13 key questions about your company and its documents, workflows and internal versus external business process orientation. Questions include:

  • We require the ability to set timed expirations on externally facing documents.
  • Our organization has an ongoing problem with out-of-date or inaccurate documents in circulation after it had been determined they are no longer of value.
  • Our external content approval workflows (i.e., RFPs, contracts with external partners) are complex, multi-stage processes that consume significant time and resources.

The instructions are clear and straightforward: You must complete all questions on the Questionnaire tab using the input boxes provided (responses range from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree") in order to get an appropriate assessment level on the Results tab (Low, Medium or High).
