Microsoft Hands off Windows XP SP3 to Manufacturers

Kachina Shaw

As widely expected, the Windows XP SP3 reached RTM (released to manufacturers) status today, on its way to general release on April 29. BetaNews reports that it will be available through the Microsoft Download Center on that date.

SP3 includes updates to WPA, Network Access Protection and Management Console 3.0 (see the full listing here).

PC Magazine editors, having seen the RTM version of SP3, deem it "highly unremarkable."
