New Routers from Juniper

Arthur Cole

A couple of new routers from Juniper Networks should go a long way toward putting branch offices more in touch with headquarters. The new J2320 and J2350 were designed in conjunction with a pair of new service gateways and network management software aimed at boosting connectivity and security across the WAN.

The J-series routers operate under the Junos software platform. The J2320 provides three modular PIM slots, four on-board 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, 400 Mbps of firewall traffic and optional IP telephony capability. The 2350 offers two more modular PIM slots and 500 Mbps of firewall traffic.

Juniper says the routers and gateways (SSG 320 and 350) allow branch offices to set up local LAN workgroups as easily as an all-in-one solution. Both devices can be optimized for Metro Ethernet service for enhanced performance.

The package is expected to be available this fall.
