New Industrial Ethernet Switches

For those of you involved in industrial enterprise networking, I want to direct your eyes to a new set of Ethernet switches from a company called N-TRON.

 

The company's 104TX and 105TX switches are the four- or five-port versions of the company's 100 series of Ethernet products designed for data acquisition, control and I/O applications. They are intended for rugged environments suitable for temperatures ranging from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius. They have an MBTF rating of more than two million hours.

 

They can be configured for full or half duplex operation up to 1 Gbps. Other features include redundant power inputs with surge protection and ESD protection diodes on RJ45 ports.

 

The switches fill out a 100 series line of entry-level Ethernet devices from N-TRON, which includes a range of switches, media converters, protocol converters and a RAS server.
