A couple of quick product announcements for you today from A10 Networks. The company has released a new set of app acceleration switches designed for load-balancing in high-bandwidth environments.
The AX 2000 and 2100 switches use the company's Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS) to enhance delivery of voice, video and data applications, and balance the network load in both normal and peak usage periods.
The 2000 holds a pair of CPUs, plus 2 gigabytes of on-board memory, eight GB-over-copper ports and two GB SPF fiber ports, plus an 80 GB hard drive. The 2100 bumps that up to four CPUs, four GB SPF fiber ports and dual 80 GB RAID 1 hard drives.
Other key features include the aRule scripting language that boosts traffic management without sacrificing performance; SSL and L4-7 acceleration and IPv4 and v6 support.
