Emulex Extends Integrity Support

HP Integrity users might be interested to note that they now have a PCI Express option for connecting to storage area networks.

Emulex Corp. announced this week that its 3532 PCIe I/O controller will support HP's new multi-protocol HBAs for the Integrity line. The 3532 offers single- and dual-port configurations for either fiber or copper connects for the AD221A, AD222A and AD393A HBAs.

The devices can be used to establish workload consolidation and network virtualization capabilities using either the HP-UX 11i v3 or OpenVMS operating systems.

Emulex supports a wide range of HP servers through both its IOC and LightPulse systems. The latest announcement extends the 3532 across a range of Integrity servers, from entry- and mid-level systems to the high-end Superdome.
