SOX Institute Releases First Book in Body of Knowledge Series

The same group that took the Sarbanes-Oxley Road Show around the world has a brand-new offering. Compliance Home reported Thursday that the SOX Institute has released the first volume in its Sarbanes-Oxley Body of Knowledge series.

According to SOX Institute chairman Sanjay Anand, the Sarbanes-Oxley Body of Knowledge, or SOXBoK, "is the culmination of nearly three years of work by thought leaders and experts on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.... We're thrilled that we fulfilled our mission of writing this book 'by practitioners, for practitioners.'"

The first book, "The Sarbanes-Oxley Act: An Introduction," Anand said, is designed to give those responsible for Sarbox compliance "actionable information and guidance." Compliance Home says the book was compiled by a host of researchers, writers and editors (several of whom are named in the piece) and that it will be useful to a wide range of practitioners -- from the beginner to the seasoned audit professional.
