Along with hiring a chief operating officer for its enforcement division and establishing a new division for risk, strategy and financial innovation, the Securities and Exchange Commission is also staffing that new division with superstars.

Reuters reported Friday that Richard Bookstaber, a former hedge fund chief and a risk management expert, will serve as director Henry Hu's senior policy adviser. Adam Glass, formerly of the law firm Linklater's, and Bruce Kraus, formerly with Willkie Farr & Gallagher, also will join the team.

Commenting on the additions, Hu said the trio would play key roles in "this division's efforts to offer analysis that integrates economic, finance and legal disciplines, with full appreciation of the complexities of today's world."
