There are two different webcasts taking place Thursday afternoon that could be of interest to all of you who work in the governance, risk and compliance arena, and I thought I'd give a quick heads up.
First, if you work in or with a government agency's IT department, Agiliance Software and Forrester Research are partnering to present "Managing IT Risk in the Era of Government 2.0." Forrester VP and principal analyst Khalid Kark and Agiliance federal solutions director Mike Saintcross will discuss, among other things, IT security priorities and risk management, risk-management processes, customizing the risk-management process, as well as government risk and compliance case studies.
Agiliance product mangement VP Ed King says:
Without utilizing a central risk management process, government establishments will find it exceptionally difficult to monitor all of the moving parts within an enterprise and effectively identify and analyze all risks affecting their organization. This webinar will explore the nature of risk and provide an overview of how IT-GRC technology can be utilized to increase efficiencies and reduce redundancies.
And for the Sarbanes-Oxley enthusiasts among us, ComplianceWeek and Lumigent Technologies will present "Sox Compliance 2010: Comply, Achieve ROI and Reduce Risk." Lumigent CEO John Capobianco will discuss how continuous monitoring of key controls will "deliver an instant ROI" by mitigating risk and reducing compliance costs.
The only problem is, they're both scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern Time, so you'll have to choose. Or at least choose one to watch one live. The other you can catch from an archive
