Further Sarbox Compliance with Call Accounting

Lora Bentley

Anyone who's done any work with Sarbanes-Oxley knows that it requires retention of certain records and reporting on certain transactions that occur within a publicly traded company, and that those records include e-mail and instant messaging. But for those who don't have much experience in the field or are just learning the ropes, it can be easy to forget that those records also include telephone calls and voice messages.

Tracking them, like everything else, is easier with technology, and if you're looking to add communications management to your system (or to change the software you're currently using), Resource Software International might be worth a look. According to Compliance Home, RSI offers call accounting software with "secure data collection buffers" so that the call origination, destination, account numbers, mailboxes, authorization codes and other protected and sensitive information that telephone records contain does not fall into the wrong hands.
