Dell to Expand Its Ubuntu Offerings?

Dell had such a good response to its preloaded Linux offering, the PC maker has decided to offer Ubuntu on additional machines, according to News.com.

The company announced last month that its Inspiron 1420N notebook and Inspiron 530N desktop are available with Feisty Fawn, bringing its Linux machine total to five. And Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth says they aren't through yet:

What's been announced to date is not the full extent of what we will see over the next couple of weeks and months.... There are additional offerings in the pipeline.

A Dell representative refused to comment on "products in the pipeline," but agreed that the company is pleased with the consumer response to its Linux offerings.
