Code-named Gutsy Gibbon, the OS will be available on the desktop -- with special editions for the KDE user (Kubuntu) and those in education (Edubuntu) -- and on the server. Among other things, the desktop edition boasts integrated desktop search, an improved user interface and better hardware support. The server edition, the story says, offers features such as proactive security and a rapid deployment platform.
