AT&T Looking Toward Android Phone

Lora Bentley

AT&T has the iPhone, of course, but apparently that's not enough. The president of AT&T Mobility, Ralph de la Vega, says he likes what Google is doing with the Android operating system. What's more, according to dBTechno, he wants the wireless provider to have its own Android-based phone.

From dBTechno:

[de la Vega] has recently met with executives at Google to try and convince them that it would be a good idea for AT&T to use Android.... Google Android is extremely customizable, which could allow AT&T to use [its] own apps and not just the Google apps currently featured.
