The latest on the Apple-Psystar fight I told you about Tuesday: In addition to filing a trademark infringement lawsuit against the company that was shipping the Mac OS Leopard operating system pre-installed on non-Apple hardware, Apple has asked the court to require Psystar to stop selling the clones and to recall those it has already sold.
Again, ZDNet's Adrian Kingsley-Hughes is on the story:
Not only does Apple want Psystar to stop selling Mac clones, it also wants Psystar to recall ALL the Mac-clone systems sold since April...[leaving customers] up a creek without a paddle.
He explains that even if the request for a recall is just a legal tactic Apple is using to pressure Psystar and it never actually happens, Psystar customers are still out of luck because Psystar will most likely stop issuing its modified security updates for the machines.
Stay tuned for more...
