Verizon, which tends to perform well in the customer satisfaction surveys conducted by J.D. Power and Associates, was the favorite of SMBs in this year's Major Provider Business Telecommunications Services Study.
This is no small feat, considering that businesses of all sizes are expecting more from their cellular carriers and other telecommunications providers.
According to a TMCNet article, Verizon bested five other service providers by earning the highest scores in six of seven key performance factors, including cost of service, customer service and sales representatives/account executives. Verizon increased its rating by 25 index points from last year's survey.
A whopping 91 percent of the company's customers said they probably or definitely would not switch to another carrier.
In particular, SBMs liked the fact that Verizon offers a single point of contact, a boon for companies that lack the time and resources to manage multiple relationships.
