Indian Outsourcers in the Market for Acquisitions

Indian outsourcing providers are developing a decidedly more global business model in an effort to enlarge their slice of the outsourcing pie.


In an effort to offer their clients more choices -- in time zones, languages and skill sets -- Indian firms are recruiting employees in varied geographies, including China and Eastern Europe.


A logical next step for the Indian firms, predicts Forrester Research, will be acquiring North American and European services firms.


They certainly can afford to shop. Venture capital firms invested $7.46 billion in India in 2006.
