The tech job news out of St. Louis and Atlanta keeps rolling in.
Five Job Search Do's And Don'ts
In March, St. Louis topped a Dice list of the fastest-growing cities for tech jobs. It reported the number of existing jobs grew 25 percent over the previous year and that average tech salaries were up 13 percent.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta IT job market remains hot, too, and will get more so:
- AT&T plans to add 600 positions as it collaborates with Georgia Tech and Cisco at an innovation center there. It will be AT&T’s fourth such center, with a fifth being set up in Plano, Texas.
- Health care technology vendor athenahealth is investing $10.8 million in expansion and will add 500 jobs over the next five years. Health care IT was one of the fastest-growing job categories in a recent report on the Atlanta job market by Burning Glass.
Atlanta ranked No. 9 on Forbes’ recent list of cities with the most STEM job openings.
